Introduction of hydrogen gas monitoring system (H2) for battery charging room

  • The SBS-H2 is a complete system that monitors Hydrogen gas with siren and light alarms. The system is provided with a display, high-precision Hydrogen H2 gas sensor and 25 ft of connecting cable.
  • Lead-acid batteries will produce hydrogen gas during loading and discharging. Hydrogen H2 concentrations concentrated at 4~75% in the air can cause explosions. The SBS system is designed and manufactured to detect and warn when H2 gas concentrations are below 4%. The equipment is easy to install and the price is suitable.
  • The device is integrated with a special H2 gas sensor for H2 gas concentration detection and monitoring, integrated alarm contact using the installation of an extended horn light or related to the ventilation fan.
  • The equipment is used in accordance with the standards of battery room according to IEEE Std 484-2002, National Fire Protection Agency (NFPA) Article 64 and Uniform Building Code (UBC) Sect 6400. The non-monitoring of H2 gas concentrations can pose a great danger to the user’s intake room, in addition, the fire and explosion due to this cause is at risk of not being covered in accordance with regulations in some places.

Operating principle:

  • Alert settings: When the concentration of Hydrogen H2 in the air reaches 1% or more, the yellow warning light will light up, and the warning contact also closes allowing the ventilation fan or other devices to be turned on if connected.
  • Alarm settings: When the concentration of Hydrogen gas reaches 2% or more, the red light will light up, the horn alarm and the light are activated, the LED on the gas probe is also on. In addition, the 2nd secondary contact closes in touch with connected devices or disconnects the feeder system.
