Techcross Electro-Cleen Ballast Water Management System™

Techcross Electro-Cleen™ System

Founded in May 2000, Techcross is constantly growing and becoming a leader in the field of Ballast Water Management System (BWMS)”, followed by continuous research and development. Techcross’ Electro-Cleen™ System (ECS) is the most efficient reducing system using electrolytic methods. ECS treats the entire input water source by producing hypochlorite (ClO-) radicals combined with hydroxyl (OH-) electric shock and free radical effects right at the chamber unit.

The sterilization effect of the system is strong enough to constest the IMO D-2 standard even if the salinity concentration is as low as 0.5PSU in cold or sweet water. Furthermore, ECS is also tested and certified by “Korean Ocean Research & Development” without recurrence of microorganisms within 30 days after treatment. Therefore, only one treatment is required once during the pumping of ballast water, which brings high efficiency in operation, time and economy.

Outstanding Features Electro-Cleen™ System

ECS ensures strong disinfection efficiency without filtration system. Use filters related to higher maintenance costs and the risk of congestion. In contrast, ECS does not even have filters that can be implemented according to the IMO D-2 standard. This is just one of the advantages that distinguish ECS from other systems.

Compared to other manufacturers, when treating ballast water at both the ballast and suction stages, ECS only works during ballast. It means ECS can ensure long-term performance and provide strong disinfection efficiency. Indeed, hypochlorite radicals, backlogs in treated ballast water, help prevent the redeve growth of microorganisms in ballast safes. Therefore, additional treatment is not required after ballast.

ECS does not require filters and moving parts, so the reduced pressure of the pipe is only 0.2 bar. So there is no need to change the existing pump or add another pump. In the case of electricity consumption, ECS is using about 1.7KW for normal seawater treatment of 100m3/h.

The system is operated easily, ECS will be fully automated during work. It is also designed for easy installation, with Modular design, easy system maintenance when necessary, or when damage occurs, can replace or repair module independently and does not affect other parts.

Main equipment:

Ballast Water Treatment System Electrolycage Block
Electrolysed Chamber (ECU), which is the main part of the ballast water treatment system, here, the entire input water is treated with 5 options Models from ECU150B, ECU300B, ECU450B, ECU600B and ECU1000B

Ansth aid devices:

Vessel ballast water processor power block
PDE (Power Distribution Cabinet) provides AC220~440V voltage to various parts in ECS, while controlling the connection between parts.
Ballast water treatment system neutral block
ANU (Auto Neutralizing Block): ANU neutralizes treated water before being discharged into the sea based on the required TRO (Total Residual Oxidation) level of 0.1ppm. ANU is designed to automatically dose an appropriate amount of neutral solution according to TSU’s TRO measurement results.
TSU20-20TRO20Sensor20unit
TSU (TRO sensor block): TSU measures the concentration of ASH produced by ECU during the pumping of water into the ballast, and measures the TRO concentration of treated water before being discharged into the sea to provide a signal to a neutral ANU.

Control block:

Control PC ballast water treatment system
Computer control with touch screen, control the entire system, and record data, backup …

Types of sensors: To control the temperature, flow flow and salinity of water in the creation of ECS operating parameters
