ISC #11: Are you ready with real-time gas measurement data?

Real-time gas detection data is emerging as a leading requirement for gas monitoring systems. The challenges of receiving real-time gas measurement data seem to be being addressed with the ubiquitic presence of Wi-Fi, batteries, and satellite networks. So what data is real-time gas measurement data. Real-time data from safety systems is massive, from data on lonely workers, gas data, GIS data, and bio-data… That’s just from a few sources. All of them are likely related to a gas monitoring system.

However, in an emergency situation, an unnecessary supervisor faces too many such real-time alerts, but only data that is capable of activation and valid at a time.

Talking to customers across continents in industries including oil and gas, wastewater treatment and manufacturing, there will be three types of real-time data that are said to be most needed.

  • Gas detection data – gas detection should be the basis for building real-time start data. Understanding gas levels is required in the time and will make decisions.
  • Panic alerts: workers who need to press a button and are guaranteed EMS services are responding immediately.
  • Real estate alerts: if a person is incapable of moving or does not tolerate a dangerous gas, the alerts are automatically issued immediately and receive response services.

Just like when you evaluate real-time data providers as part of their gas detection, monitoring program, here are some key design principles to consider:

  • Carefully select gas detection providers that use all available channels including Wi-Fi, Cell, and satellites. Several gas detection options are being separated from the specific battery supply, meaning customers need to invest in both a gas detection system and a special data provider.
  • Focus on simple design. Some gas detection providers are providing real-time data applications, which require workers to press a button every few hours to check-in. Instead, find providers that allow workers to focus on their work without using a secure app. If they are really willing to carry a gas detector, why make them carry other devices that may be cumbersome, redundant. Let the gas detector do its job, make the most of the gas detectors to maximize your investment, and any application should raise the device without changing the interest of the gas detectors.
  • Carefully selecting a gas detector supplier with built-in unconscious alerts and panic attacks just like they are the most essential real-time alerts. Choosing multiple providers means multiple devices and multiple apps.
  • Find a gas detector supplier that supports connections through gas detection stations, area monitoring, and individuals. You need a software option that can provide real-time alerts for all types of gas detectors that connect to it.
  • Find gas detector suppliers that provide real-time alerts to supervisors that will also display alerts on the device in the nearest range. When working in a small team, it helps to fully see the values read from all the workers on the equipment and also ensures those values are sent to supervisors in real time.
  • Find solutions that give you the flexibility to detect dangerous gases depending on the situation. A general rule of law is to find those that detect 5 gases.
  • Find providers that open up data to customers, and make sure it’s available for transmission via an API.

With real-time data at your fingertips, you can view a map of workers at any time and their status. real-time data eliminates the need for check-in, automated, or otherwise, because supervisors can easily view a map and understand both the status of workers and bodies.
